
Outside, the storm had softened into a gentle drizzle, raindrops whispering against the hospital windows. Inside, just outside the red-lit OT, sat two families bound together by a twist of fate... one for whom Akshita was already their entire universe, and another for whom she was slowly, beautifully becoming an indispensable part of their heart and home.
A young nurse walked softly down the long corridor, her rubber-soled shoes squeaking faintly against the floor. She carried a lightweight plastic tray neatly lined with small bottles of mineral water and clean paper cups.
