The kitchen was filled with the sizzle of the pan and the rich, earthy aroma of fresh coffee. Akshita stood by the counter, her movements uncharacteristically slow and deliberate. She was carefully slicing cucumbers for the sandwiches, a soft, shy smile playing on her lips that she couldn't quite shake off. Every now and then, she would tuck a stray, damp strand of hair behind her ear.
But her mind was miles away from the breakfast prep.
